The Lawrence County Fiscal Court manages various parks throughout the county.  These parks offer a variety of outdoor recreation activities.

Pleasant Ridge Park - located just adjacent to the Yatesville Lake State Park Campground and the Pleasant Ridge Boat Launching Ramp.  The secluded, rustic park is located approximately 10 miles southwest of Louisa-take US 23 to KY Route 3215 to the park entrance.  Pleasant Ridge offers a miniature golf course, basketball court, and ballfield.  Rental cabins and 3 picnic shelters are available.  There is a conference center which can accommodate 75 people.  Future plans include the addition of RV camping and primitive tent camping and a wildlife center.  There is easy access to Yatesville Lake.  For more information call the Pleasant Ridge Park at (606)-673-1166.

bulletLawrence County Beach Park - located adjacent to the Yatesville Lake Marina area.  Driving directions are take US Route 23 to Kentucky Route 3 north.  From Ky Route 3, take Ky Route 1185 south 3 miles to the marina area.  After entering the marina area, take a left turn on Boy Scout/Beach Road.  Follow the beach road and signs to the beach area.  The beach area is open from 12:00Noon to 8:00PM during the summer hours.  Certified life guards are on duty during the assigned times.  There is a concession stand and restroom facility.  There is a large playground area for the kids and picnic tables are also available.  There is a special kids swimming area as part of the restricted swimming area.  For more information, about the Lawrence County Beach Park, Call (606)-638-4102.
 
bulletChapman Park - located in the southwest part of the county.  Driving directions are US Route 23 to Louisa, just south of Louisa, take State Route 644 to Route 1690.  Follow Route 1690 for approximately 10 miles to State Route 2037.  This is a small winding road which leads directly into the park area.  Limited facilities at the park include a tennis court, restrooms, basketball court and ballfield and campsites with electric hookups.  There is a small picnic shelter also available.  The park is reserved on the July 4th holiday for the Chapman Reunion (2-3 day reunion).  For more information, call (606)-638-4102.
 
bulletStella Moore Park - This park is located in Louisa, Kentucky and is a joint effort between the county and the local Little League Organization.  There are 3 baseball fields located in the park.  There is a concession stand which is open during the Little League season.  The county recently added a large playground area with new equipment.  New lights for the ballfields have also been added.  For more information, call (606)-638-4102.
 
bulletFallsburg Community Center and Park  -  Located in the Fallsburg area of Lawrence County, this park has a community center which is ideal for family reunions and other social functions.  The park includes a large picnic shelter and playground area.  This park is located minutes from Yatesville Lake.  The annual July 4th celebrations and Halloween activities are a few of the events which are highlighted at this park.  For reservations and other information, call Lora Scott at (606)-686-2743 or Dennis Woods
